Easy smoothie recipe that tastes like dessert and packed with protein, vitamins, and minerals



I never really liked smoothies. I tried smoothies from Jamba Juice and Kiva Juice but I wasn't a fan. Then when I moved up to the pacific northwest there were a lot more options. My two favorite spots are Kure and Moberi. They use natural ingredients with larger fruit ratios topped with greens or healthy additions like flax seeds. Since covid I have limited outings so I started experimenting with recipes at home.


My best friend shared her recipe with me and the kiddos simply love it. I added a few twists of my own because I use kale from my garden. If you got a picky eater and need to get their blast of nutrients in for the day, then this recipe might do the trick.


The Berry Perfect Smoothie

  • 8 oz coconut water

  • 1 tbsp peanut butter

  • 2 tsp honey

  • 1/2 cup spinach or kale

  • 1/2 cup strawberries and blueberries or substitute with your favorite fruit

  • Half a banana

  • Dry Coconut flakes (optional)

  • Chia Seeds (optional)

Blend all ingredients with 1 cup of ice and enjoy!
